General sponsor

MMPRC - Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation, represented in Moscow by TMI Consultancy since January 2020.

MMPRC has been developing tourism and promoting Maldives as a tourism destination since 2010.

In 2019, MMPRC initiated and implemented 17 global advertising campaigns, including participation in international exhibitions and workshops in all the regions of the world. The popularity of Maldives is growing every year, and in 2019 the number of tourists visiting the Maldives increased by 14.5%, exceeding 1.5 million people.

Maldives is an island state consisting of 1129 islands, which are combined into 26 atolls. Despite the proximity to each other, each of the atolls has its own traditions, attractions and peculiarities. In Maldives, there are great opportunities for recreation - you can stay in a luxury villa of the island resorts, in a hotel or a guesthouse on local islands or on a yacht (liveaboard).

From July 15, 2020, Maldives reopened its borders to travellers. The ‘new norm’ has changed the conditions of entry into Maldives and travel between the islands. Travelers are now required to install TraceEkee mobile app upon entry into the country, provide confirmation of the reservation of accommodation on one of the islands and send a request for permission to the Ministry of Tourism if the trip involves visiting more than one island of the resort.

The PCR test must be performed 72 hours prior to arrival to Maldives and the test results attached to the Health Declaration Form, which must be completed 24 hours prior to departure. The test is required for all participants of the trip, except for children under one year of age.
